As part of the BBAC, the WRBBAC supports its commitment to promoting safe ballooning, pilot and crew development, landowner relations and the continued growth of the sport within the region.

Throughout the year the club organises a varied programme of events, including monthly winter social meetings with guest speakers, training evenings and presentations, together with regular fly-outs and social flying events during the summer months. 

Whether you’re an experienced pilot, an aspiring crew member or simply interested in getting involved in ballooning, as a member, you’ll find a warm welcome and a friendly environment where members share knowledge, make lasting friendships and enjoy ballooning together.

Committee

The WRBBAC is run entirely by a dedicated committee of volunteers who generously give their time to support the club and its members. Committee members bring many years of experience in ballooning, alongside a diverse range of professional skills and expertise.

They oversee the day-to-day running of the club which includes organising events, training, managing landowner relations, permits, chairing meetings and promoting a safe ballooning environment across the region.

Many of our committee members also support the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, helping to deliver one of Europe’s largest and most iconic ballooning events held at Ashton Court in Bristol.
