Take part in an active programme of organised flying meets from April through to September, with launches from a variety of locations across the South West. Whether you’re new to ballooning or an experienced crew member, you’ll enjoy regular opportunities to support flights and gain valuable hands-on experience.

Learn from Experienced Pilots & Crew

Develop your knowledge and practical skills alongside experienced pilots and crew members. Learn every aspect of balloon operations, from inflation and launch procedures through to in-flight support, recoveries and pack-away techniques.

Crew Training & Development

Build confidence through informal training, demonstrations and practical guidance covering safe balloon handling, equipment preparation, chase vehicle operations, radio communications, passenger management and recovery techniques.

Winter Talks & Training Evenings

During the winter months (October to March), attend a programme of indoor meetings featuring safety presentations, operational talks, guest speakers, film evenings, quizzes and social events, helping you expand your knowledge throughout the off-season.

Fly from Exclusive Launch Sites
